Tampa Bay Wins Another Championship!

Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant won the 15th annual Madden Bowl today amongst Super Bowl preperations. Bucs players have won three of the past four Madden Bowls, and five overall. Teammate Alex Smith won the tournament in 2006 and 2007.

If a mod feels it belongs there, they will move it there. Personally, I still consider it team discussion. It was very refreshing to be switching through channels and hear our team being talked about and it NOT be a former player bashing Gruden.

What are they going to do, ban me for posting an article/thread concerning an ACTUAL player in the team discussions? Seems like it would make more sense for them to just move it if they deem it more belonging there.

If that is the case, I really don't think I will be too offended not coming around here anymore. I would think it is their job to KEEP Buccaneers fans coming around, not chase them away. I mostly just read the forums, v. post, I just noticed nobody had mentioned this topic and I found it interesting that Buccaneers players won it three out of four years. If this is in the wrong forum, then we need an "ALCOHOL" forum for everytime a player is pulled over and charged with DUI. This topic still is referring to something an ACTUAL player is doing.

And there is no rule stating you have to open up and/or read every thread that is posted. Trust me, your opinion is just as valid as anyone else, including me. Well, it all comes down to interpretation.

See, those of us who despise video games but love NFL football tend to think that the only championships that really matter regarding Tampa Bay are Super Bowls, with the occasional NHL or MLB trophy for those outside the lines.

To equate one Bucs player winning a video game competition, with a victory by an entire team winning a Super Bowl, is about the dumbest variation on selling a thread that I've ever seen. This month anyway.

Just so you know, we don't do Idiot of the Week competitions anymore, so you don't need to work this hard to qualify.

I'd encourage you to save yourself by deleting this thread, but you appear to want to be suspended.

I actually glanced over the Video Game forums before posting, as well as using the search function to see if it was posted anywhere. It just did not seem relevant, to me, in the Video Game forum because (despite the fact it is about a victory in an NFL Sponsored video game tournament), I did not find it interesting because of the "game" they were playing. I found it interesting because of the ACTUAL player who won it, as well as the history our ORGANIZATION has had of success in said tournament. I will not liken it again to the DUI charge, but I feel that claim is valid. I am not posting about a 6 TD performance the fake character Antonio Bryant had in a Madden sim, but once again I digress.

The Mod has spoken, and he believes this is where it belongs, so it really is over. My response was simply to state my opinion and logic behind it, as I think that everyone that is blindly called or labeled unintelligent by veiled faces behind a computer states away has a right to state his opinion. You can sit here and call me stupid, or ignorant, or any of those sort of things that the MODS will gladly skim over without blinking, but don't fool yourself into believing that I am required to take it without rebuttal.
