How come the smoking sections are enforced at the stadium. Between half time smokers are all over the place. They have designated section to pollute their lungs and that should be enforced.

as a smoker and a season ticket holder here is my opinion: In the 3rd level the smoking area is right where the escolaters(sp) come up, so that when everyone who comes up gets to walk through the wall of smoke. The area was enforced for the first time at the last game. At previous games I could stand in front of the "line" and watch the game on the big screen. When designing the stadium someone decided that a big cement wall would be perfect right near the smoking area, so you can't see over it. Why is it that because I smoke I cannot watch the game? BUT! If I was in the beer line there is a TV right there so I don't miss anything?? I know my smoking is offensive to some people but what about the drunk guy near me that has to scream out at the beer dude every time he sees him, or what about, how obnoxious and drunk he gets?? Isn't that offensive?? When did being drunk become more socially acceptable than smoking?

Hard to believe that not long ago alcohol was prohibited. Joe Camel got a bad rap.

I'm waiting for the "Farting" section. I'm sure some people will raise a stink<pun> about how the smell offends them. How this bothers them and they can't enjoy the game.
Our society has become so self-centered. All that matters is- how will "I" be affected? What can "I" do to change others for the better or their own good. I really dislike the era we live in now! However, it will probably get worse!

The beer that guy is drinking isn't going into my liver, your pathetic smoke is going into my lungs. If you want to smoke and watch the game on a big tv, why not go to a sports bar? Cigarettes should be laced with rat poison anyway.

I am not a smoker, and don't like being around smokey areas. However, just because someone want to smoke doesn't mean that they shouldn't be able to watch the game, or have to go to a sports bar.
They should put some tv sets in the smoking areas. That really wouldn't cost much, and would be accomodating to everyone.

I did not ask to sit in my seat and smoke, I simply made a point that the smoking area is next to a large cement wall that you cannot see over, if you stand where you can see the jumbo tron the cops chew you out for standing on the wrong side of the line. Shadow my guess is your beer means more to you than anything cause it seems like I offended you - and gee Im not even smoking!

Some people, like myself, get sick from cig smoke. I try to stay away as much as possible. If you are drinking a beer, you are not pouring it into my mouth. Your smoke however innocent to you, can kill me. (And I don't mean 2nd hand either). I only go to places where I know the NO SMOKING policy is enforced.
more times than not, I leave the Bucs game ready of oxygen because someone felt it was their RIGHT to allow me the pleasure to smoke with them..

It seems to me that a lot of people don't like a lot of things, respectively. If you don't like people screaming like a "fanatic" or having to endure an occasional wiff of smoke, you probably shouldn't be attending public events with 60,000 plus other people. If you're that intolerant, stay home.

Every now & then i like to enjoy a cigerette but i never got addicted to them,I can smoke a pack one nite & go 3 weeks w/o another one or i can smoke 1 or 2 and not want another one the whole nite.I think they should just have designated smoking areas.

Although its an open air stadium, and I obide by the smoking rules as much as possible, that you non smokers can still complain amazes me.
I get sick of dealing with the drunks who ruin my time at the game, but I deal with it, I suggest you do the same.
