I need help on Madden

I'm in my first off-season and I'm over on my salary cap but I still need players in certain persions to fill my roster so I can start the season.
I can't sell anyone cos that would leave me another posion to fill and I'd be given a penalty on my cap (don't ask me why).

What do I do?

i had that problem what i did i had some extra DT,WR and a extra kicker when my
kicker got hurt so i traded them to get my things filled then i released te rest of my extra
players. after that i extended to 7 years on some players contract and gave them
more of a signing bonus and cut down on their total pay. i had restart my franchise
2 times but once you get used to it, its all good. if you still have trouble
i dont know what else to tell ya, hope that helps

I've actually never really ran into cap problems... probably because I keep such a young team at all times, and I sign all my draft picks to 7 year contracts...
