I wanted to know, if anyone could tell me, how to coordinate my ps2 experience with DSL. I have the internet adapter but have only used it time to time with 56k. Now that I have DSL, I would like to play Madden and every other game I have compatible with the internet at DSL speeds. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Ok..so you have the network adaptor, as of right now it should be attached to a phone line since your on 56k.
Go to radio shack and get an ethernet cable(remember to get one that is long enough).
Hook the cable to the ps2 network adaptor and the other end to you DSL modem. Dont forget to turn on the ps2 and go thru the network configuration. If all goes well you should be playing in no time..let me know if this helped.

Do that, it's easy.

I don't know if anyone else has gotten it to work, but I can't figure out how to be on the PC and PS2 at the same time online. Basically I have 2 cords, one to the PC, one to the PS2, and just unplug and plug when I want to switch.

Or you can get a router from walmart for 40 bucs. Then go home plug the main wire from your modem into the router internet port. The router will allow you too splice your internet connection and hook up up too 4 different pieces of hardware. Follow the included instructions and wham no unplugging ever again.

Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XBOX LIVE for XBOX is the totally best way to Go. It's easy and the Ethernet Card comes with the XBOX, Call Microsoft after purchasing your Ethernet Cord/Cable and Microsoft will help you gain access to some kicka-- gameplay online with some awesome titles.

.... And get ready to start paying monthly fees to play, besides madden only plays online with EA at the moment.

XBOX LIVE only cost me $69 a year which is great for full voice and game action mutiplayer across the world

thats your first year...Its kinda like credit card interdictory rate. People read the fine print on your contracts. I think afterwards it will be roughly 10 dollars a month.

further more If you bought the game for 50 bucks then online play should be free....If you have to pay for the online feature I would like a discount on the game or get the game at manufacturing cost...approx 5 bucks.

In the meantime Ill stick to the tunnelling programs that allow me to play with friends and those of us who would rather spend the money on important things like cloths.....you know to look nice to go on dates like a real person.

I think that should be helpful enough. BTW I recommend Wal-Mart, the patch cable (ethernet cable) is alot cheaper there.

For the money, Live is the best. I had both systems and XBOX is the best. My opinion I suppose but there are alot more on LIVE than PS2.
Futher more, I don't need to buy cloths. I am married and can spend my money on XBOX LIVE, THE ONLY LIVE GAMING EXPERIENCE WORTH THE MONEY.

Oh miohara... IM SORRY i forgot that everyone is rich and likes to throw money away like you and have a wife....

not everyone in the world has the lucklike you, and btw there are more titles that support online play for ps2 then the xbox....count them before you make PEBKAC error....what throws it over the top is the EA games. BTW EA has not stated that it will bring its game live....they remarked on that rumor and denied on it.....so until then there are more ps2 games....so I guess it is in your own opinion.

EA Sports has got alot to catch up with. ESPN 2k4 and NFL Fever 2004 has beaten madden to a pulp.Yea Yea I know PS2 has ESPN 2k4 but do that have online games like HALO 2, Splinter Cell 2,Rainbow six 3,Project Gotham Racing 2,etc. Graphics on one of XBOX games alone Beats 10 PS2 games.Further more, I am not wealthy, just knowledgable in FUN , not some boring BS by PS2

As the battle for system domination reaches the shores of European in the coming months, a lot will be said for the relative merits of the various gaming platforms available. Hence we're guaging your opinions, and we'd like you to decide based on pricing, the games, the ease of use (and your own personal preference, natch), which of the following platforms offers the best way forward in gaming: PC, Xbox, PS2 or Gamecube. It's up to you.

Well the results are in and five-hundred of you casted votes in the poll. The voting went as follows:

PC - 46%

Xbox - 22%

Playstation 2 - 16%

Gamecube - 14%

No surprise at the eventual result, really - the PC romping home with a wide margin, though it was interesting to see the Xbox beat the PS2 by several percent.

Nice display on votes.....BUT COUNT THE GAMES....jesus I have both systems, perfer not to pay for monthly fees.....Hell im in the buisness of programing for them, not denying that Xbox grapics beats one to one, but only if the game is running in 480p or higher.

You differed the answer to the question I gave you, If you gave the answer of with the votes on y Live is better...WITH THE DARN LINK to the poll ....it would of been a reasonable answer for before, but to make a blantent statement the Xbox live has more games and your counting games that are not even out yet hell If I counted PS2 games that will be online that isnt out yet, The planed online games It blow the xbox list away.

and where did you get your degree in fun, carnegie mellonhead?

PS2 has more games but XBOX beats them as far as graphics and game play. PS2 online is controlled by the makers of the game itself and you abide by their rules, not so with XBOX Live, it is only Microsoft’s rules you deal with. Also playing the game makers server sucks. What really sucks is that each game makers game server isn't the same and therefore inconsistent in quality. With XBOX live it's the same server regardless of what Game you want to play.

Xbox live costs 5 bucks a month, or if you don't care about keeping stats and having the same name, you can mooch off of 2 month free accounts that come with every Live game. Not only is Xbox Live a hell of a lot better, you get downloadable content on Xbox Live for free, but if you want it on PS2, you ahve to go out and get the Hard Drive.

Plus, doesn't EA charge for playing their games online?
