I started a new franchise last night with the Bucs. After making some great trades. I managed to get Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, and Ricky Williams, plus Derrius Thompson and Dante Hall. Talk about an explosive and very young offense. I'm ranked #1 offense after 5 weeks, (yes I'm playing, not simulating). I did lose Sapp and Lynch on defense, but Darby has filled in well and I signed Blaine Bishop from Free Agency and he has 3 INT's already.

Really do it. I sign hundreds of players for no Signing bonus and then trade them them for 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 1st round picks. Then if I get a 2nd for one. I pick up another Free Agent and trade my 2nd and the 2nd I just picked up for a 1st! Keep doing this until you run out of good players or get 10 1st rounders:D

LMAO
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!

boy. i am so far ahead in years. i dont even have those players anymore. they are my coaches!

i had an all-former-bucs coaching staff.

i dont have anyone erally left anymore that even has thier picture in the game. all of them are just names and stats.

but i love it. i love this game.

btw. idk if its preprogramed or random. or randomly preprgramed but i suggest all of u get Tubbs in 2006 1st overall pick. hes the best WR to hit hte NFL.

bad part is hell come back to bite u in the *** in 9 or so yrs. but wat he give u in return is amazing. he got me several SB. but a 6 mill cap penalty t the n of it all but he was great

i love managing

I want to see how one of you would handle this situation.

I stupidly gave a contract to Dunn that is about 38 million with a 13.5 million signing bonus. He has a rating of 95.He has played out 2 years of the 7 year deal that i gave and now i really want to offload his large contract because there is a young guy that is coming through beautifully for me and he's much cheaper.

I couldn't resign him because it was much more expensive so I traded him after year 3 (after simulating) and I had more than $9 million in cap hit,but i had restored some room.I decided to simulate year 4(all this simulating was to see what effect trading dunn will have on my cap)After simulating the year without Dunn....in the resulting offseason i had a cap figure of $-2 mil

what would you madden gurus have done cause right now Dunn is killing my cap and i have someone else almost as good as him and he's playing for peanuts.

look for players on your team with large contracts and extend them out to lower their cap value. it ties you to the player for the long haul but it's a quick fix.
