It is still a ways away, but fantasy football is coming up. This thread is dedicated for everything fantasy football. You can post your sleeper prospects, and news you find interesting. And once the season starts, you can brag about your records and post what you think your best steal was etc. So have fun and play fantasy football!

Bye the way, I am going to be starting up an 8 player fantasy league come july. It will be on yahoo(free) and currently I have 4 open spots. This league won't be to competive(I admit I am pretty good). Most of the 2 others only have 2 years experince and 1 player hasn't played before but knows football inside out. So just PM me if you are football knowledgeable and would like to join my league in july.

Fantasy Football is a real-time(usally online), game where players are "picked" for an online team and then as the player scores in real-life you(the fantasy player) gets points. For example:

Bucs @ redskins. I the fantasyplayer drafted: Keenan McCardell, Clinton Portis. While my opponent drafted: Lavernous Coles and the TB Defence. During the game, Clinton Portis gets 40 yds and fumbles once. Keenan McCardell grabs 50 yds and a touchdown while Lavernous Coles gets 1 catch:a 35 yd td strike from brunell.

This means that I get 11 points for McCardell and only 2 points for Portis. While my opponent gets 20 for the buc defence and 9 for Coles. We add these points with our other players points and whoever has the most wins.

All points are ajustable and so are the roster positions. Here are the positions I will have:

Team Defence

Plus 5 bench spots. If I get less than 8 players then I will add more positions:

2 QBs, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, TE, K, 2 Defs. Most rules are changable. If you have anymore questions just post. If you want to join my league PM me and I will think about it.(I want competition and somebody who won't quit in the middle of the season, that happend last year and boy was it a mess:( )

Yes it will be. I don't want to have 12 teams. Each team will have a good number of players. And by the way I will be playing in a Public League to. I am the Fantasyplayer:D :cool:

My team was awesome last year. i didn't make any trades and this is what my starters looked like: 10 teams; i had 9th pick.



QB Matt Hasselbeck- He was a major sleeper. I got him late. As a matter of fact, i picked Kurt Warner in the 4th round. Luckily i picked Hasselbeck, to lead me to a Championship:D

RB Ahman Green- 1st round pick
RB Jamal Lewis- 3rd round pick- Steel of the Year

WR Terrell Owens- 2nd round pick
WR Isaac Bruce
WR Split between Jerry Rice and Donald Driver

TE Doug Jolley- Weakest position

K Sebastian Janikowski

DST Tampa Bay Buccaneers- I couldn't resist:D ...i got them in the 7th round. First DST taken.


My only other Buc was RB Thomas Jones. I was trying to work out a trade for Brad Johnson, but the idiot wanted Green.

For all who were interesting in my league their are just a few things you need to know.

1. You will have to give me your yahoo id.(so I know who you are)
2. You must have played at least 1 year of Fantasy Football
3. You can't quit during the season.(drop your players)

This should be a fun yet competive league. So far I am the oldest in it and I am only 17. The other players that will be in it average about 1 year of experience(but that is enough to put you over in edge compared to somebody who has never played). If you are interested just PM me.

-There are about 4 spots left(I say about because some people are not sure if they want to play)
