Madden Roster updates

does EA usually release a roster update that everyone can download to their Xbox or ps2? i want tim brown on my team, but i want keenan too. :D

with the bucs cap situation in the game, it's impossible to have both (as brown commands much more in the game than he was signed for in real life)

hopefully we'll get an update with Ricky Williams retired, Quincy gone, and Brown on the Bucs.

any ideas on whether or not this will be a reality?

How do i get Tim brown on my team without going online-- i tried to trade Russel, Robinson, and A. King-(trade rejected)-- I cant play online anymore How do i get him. Can you start a franchise with the raiders and release brown, then start a new franchise with the bucs? will he be in the free agents list then or WHAT? for XBOX

yes the Xbox because of it being Microcrap and always wanting your money...you have to pay to play..... PS2 you dont

which made it very easy for me to have a PS2 also until 2005 Xbox could not online any ea games..... Madden 2003 was the first one for online via PS2

well there's a free trial that comes with madden ... so i could use that.

can you use the updated rosters just in the online play, or in your franchise, etc?

I figured out a way to get around the salary cap in order to update the Bucs roster before I started my franchise. First, I went to "view rosters", then cut everyone that is on the Bucs roster on the game, but not actually in real life (Russell, etc.). Then I released Tim Brown from the Raiders. Then, I went to the free agents list. Edit the attributes of the players that you want to add to the Bucs roster (drop their speed down to zero, and maybe adjust another attribute downward also). This should take their overall rating down to somewhere like 12. Add the players that you want to the Bucs roster, then go back into their attributes and adjust them to what they were before. You'll be able to sign them VERY CHEAP this way, and you should be able to add everyone you need (Tim Brown, Bill Schroeder, D'wayne Bates, etc).

i just started playing online like 2 days ago and have beat jets, panthers, patriots, and packers. i love online playing

With Brown, you could just leave it at zero after you sign him.

ea releases updates every few weeks during the regular season. there will be definitely be one before the regular season but i wouldnt expect one during the preseason but i will hope for an update so i can use tim brown and hopefully a ratings boost too.
