This is my first time playing fantasy football, and want to see what people think. In particular, I drafted a couple of Bucs so any comments there would be good. I'm considering starting Brad Johnson in week 1...although he is going against Washington (my defense)
My league consists of 12 teams and uses a starting lineup of:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 RB/WR 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 K
Overall Pick #, Player, Position, Team
#3, Ahman Green, RB, Green Bay
#22, Dominick Davis, RB, Houston
#27, Stephen Davis, RB, Carolina
#46, Andre Johnson, WR, Houston
#51, Kevin Jones, RB, Detroit
#70, Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona
#75, Byron Leftwich, QB, Jacksonville
#94, Brad Johnson, QB, Tampa Bay
#99, Kevin Johnson, WR, Cleveland
#118, Roy Williams, WR, Detroit
#123, Jason Witten, TE, Dallas
#142, David Carr, QB, Houston
#147, Musim Muhammed, WR, Carolina
#166, Freddie Jones, TE
#171, Keenan McCardell, WR, Tampa Bay
#190, Washington, DEF
#205, J. Feely, K, Atlanta
#224, Kevin Faulk, RB, New England
#229, Antonio Bryant, WR, Dallas
My starting lineup:
QB - Brad Johnson/Byron Leftwich/David Carr (depends on the game)
RB1 - Ahman Green
RB2 - Dominick Davis
WR1 - Andre Johnson
WR2 - Larry Fitzgerald
RB/WR1 - Stephen Davis
RB/WR2 - Kevin Jones
TE - Freddie Jones
DEF - Washington
K - J. Feely
Obviously, I have a very young team and will make changes based on things I hear/see in training camp, preseason etc.
I'm probably the strongest team in my league at RB with 4 starting rb's although Jones is only a rookie and Davis has to share carries with Deshaun Foster. I'm very young at WR but I believe that Roy, Larry, or both will have a breakout rookie season this year. (IMO, McCardell could be a huge lift if he stops holding out...will he continue to hold out?)
My QB situation worries me as I will have to guesstimate which is the best for that week. Based on last year, Brad Johnson would be the best fantasy QB by far. How do ya'll think he will do vs Washington (a team he torched last year). I'm using the Washington Defense (believe they will be solid...especially if Gibbs can get the running game going on the other side....S Sean Taylor will be a star as a rookie), so I'm guessing that I can't use both Washington D and Brad Johnson.
Anyways, thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
