FF... I got a good team but I am 3-7

I seem to pick the wrong guys every freakin week. I got:

Brett Farve= Starter from here on out

Chris Simms

Clinton Portis
Ahman Green= Starter

Rueben Droughns=Starter

Micheal Clayton=Starter
Roy Williams=Starter

Daniel Graham=Starter
Ben Watson(is on IR)

Jason Elam=Starter
Shane Graham

Atlanta Defense=Starter
Arizona Defense

Good God this is killing me. My running backs especially. I was starting Carr but the last few weeks he has hurt. I'm trying to deal Emmitt Smith for Randy McMicheal, at least that will give me a more reliable TE over Graham. This is a keeper league so I get to keep 10 of these guys for next year. Sorry for the rant guys...I just can't believe my record is so bad..

Cut Portis, cut Graham, cut one kicker, cut your TE who is on IR. Then start looking on the FA market for available players. Try MIN TE Wiggins. No one would do McMichael for Smith. Try to trade Dillon or Green for a top tier WR.. A lot of guys would, because FF rule is usually to take a RB when you can. Stop starting Roy Williams, he isn't 100%. Your RBs aren't bad, they shouldn't be killing you.

Keeper league..... I added Shane graham for last week because Elam was on a bye. It costs to move players so Watson will stay on IR until the end of the season...he won't be kept. Cut Portis?? Maybe trade him but the dealine is Friday and I don't think anyone is need of him, at least hes depth. In our league hes averaging 10-15 points a week and thats OK. I do need a TE though, looking at Putzier(DEN), Shea(CLE) and Dilger(TB). They are all thats left. I am allowed 1 FA pick-up a week and anything on the waiver wire,(which is pretty thin). Who to start over Williams......Gaffney...Ftitzgerald? :confusedr

OK.....first QB's Start Favre the rest of the season because now is when he is at his best....unload SIMMS he isn't going to do anything this year and is just wasting a roster spot.

RB's Drop or trade Emmitt Smith....he may be useful for someone who has weaker backs than you ! Your other backs are pretty solid....I would start Green every week and of the other three backs just look at the matchups they are all pretty close.

WR's your starters are ok.....just do something with the other four and maybe pickup 1 or 2 better backup WR's if you can....you don't need 4 backup WR's.

TE's keep Graham....drop Watson......and pick up another TE with a trade combo like Emmitt and 1 or 2 of your WR's.

PK's.....drop one of them you don't need 2 now that the bye weeks are over they are a dime a dozen possibly use the one you cut in a trade package.

Def/ST.....keep Atlanta and use Arizona as trade bait too......here again you don't really need 2 defenses since all the bye weeks are over !

Sounds like you are making progress.....good luck with the trade hope it goes through......I might offer Emmitt instead of Portis but either one will work just don't trade any of your other backs !

I offered a guy Portis and Fitzgerald for Moss earlier and then withdrew it. I just got an email from him and he said it was close, just a little more tweaking and maybe we could do a deal. If I get this trade, I'll pick-up Dilger and run with it.

Do yourself a favor and go back and read what I recommended for him to do....I've been playing FF for 10 years and have won several years in several different leagues with 8-16 teams depending on which league.....so it would be safe to say I know a thing or 2 about FF......and most of the leagues I play in are for BIG money so I take it very serious ! And my point about the TE was to keep the one healthy TE and drop the one who is on IR and pickup a starter with some of his good players to be traded to get a solid starter....what that doesn't sense to you....did I say for him to start Graham....no I didn't !

Yes but I would stay away from Moss....I think the Vikings have mishandled his injury and it might be worse than they are saying....so even if he was to come back which I think he is still out for this week he will be a "?" and if you do this trade you will get a solid starting TE(not to mention Jimmy Smith is having a good year and Leftwich should be back soon) which you definitely need but I would try to keep Graham and trade another player so you have 2 TE's.

Remember this is a keeper league, if I can get Moss, I will have him next year.

PLEASE get me in one of your leagues next year, or in one with the guy that made that trade.
As far as the keepers go, if you have another good player, I'd advise against keeping Elam. Yeah, he's a great kicker, but the difference between a great kicker and a good kicker is maybe 3 pts a week. If you get your hands on a good player for next year, keep him. I think that may be your best strategy, since playoffs are prob out of the picture for you. make some trades that put you in position to have good keepers for next year.
