M. Bulger (StL - QB) vs SF 1:00 pm 3267 17 12 67 3 0 0 0 1 4 149
or
D. Brees (SD - QB) vs Den 4:05 pm 2458 21 3 75 2 38 0 0 0 2 175
Brees has a lot more points, though I feel Denver's D is that much better than SanFrans.
What do you guys think?

Brees, he won't get as many yards as Bulger, but he throws more TDs, and he only has 3 INTs on the season.
Bulger will probably get you 300 yards and a TD, and most likely either a fumble or an INT or both. Brees is just more consistent, and remember Kerry Collins put up 340 yards and 4 TDs against the Broncos last week. Both the Niners and the Broncos are pretty average against the pass, they don't get many INTs and they don't sack the QB very much. Plus, St Louis will probably be playing with a big lead most of the game, so they will be running the ball, whereas Denver can actually keep up with the Chargers.

bulger. just look at the san francisco secondary, and the fact that he has two future hall of fame receivers. after last week's performance against the raiders, the denver defense is going to play angry - plus it being a big division game. besides i think brees is way overrated.

Gonna have to go with Bulger against San Fran. I decided to go ahead and play Torry Holt due to this fact. He has been a bit of a letdown for a top tem receiver as far as consistency goes, but against the Friscos, you gotta believe they will put up some points.

Yeah, so much for my advice. Good for my FF matchup, however. I have Holt on my team and my opponent has Bulger. Holt still gets points while my opponent loses his QB. Sorry for you though, Pantera. I hope you went with Brees.

i stuck with brees, unfortunitly i started bulger in another league, oh well, i wouldn't of won either way in that one
up against Payton and Chad Johnson and the eagles running back, so lets say I lost by a lot

I happened to luck out this week and really picked all the right starters, thus keeping my 1 game lead atop my league. I luckily have D McNabb as my QB. I also have TO. I ended up scoring near 200 points in a league where our average is about 120 or so. I had a good week. :-)

even with bulger's injury brees still did pretty bad...so the advice really wasn't bad, just unlucky circumstances.
