I like the xbox controller way better. I could care less about how the consoles look, since they both appear to be able to stand or lay down. Until PS3 releases more info, I really can't say which one I like more, but as of right now I'd have to say xbox by apperance.

What in gods name is the point of make the controller like that? There's gonna be like 3 inches of controller sticking out of your hands......It's all for looks, and it looks awful.

I've always been a PS guy, but with that one not coming till 2006 and the overall look of the think I may be switching over to the other side, Xbox 360. When is the 360 release?

After reading what the guy's from the actually ps3 press conference had to say, that controller is really small. I don't know what to think about it being so small other than it could be designed to last longer than the ps2 controllers which, for some gamers, are only good for a couple months.
I happen to like the idea of a smaller controller. Better grip, more discrete(no looking at my play calling on madden any more  ) more compact for storage. There still is a chance it could be tweaked before next spring but as long as that controller has a blue tooth, I'm gettin it!

In the end that's probably what I'll do too. I just am a major PS fan and have loved both systems when I had them. I'm just a stickler for the Playstation I guess and don't feel like changing because I know what I'm getting with Sony (Xbox fans, take that last statement and run with it if you want. :D )

I don't much care for the looks of that controller either, but then there's always 3rd party controllers. In the end though, I expect my decision on what console I wind up getting to depend on what games each console has.

i'm an xbox guy except when it comes to Madden because Sony had the best controller for Madden, now they ****ed that up so now they lose my business, unless the dualshock 2 is compatible with it

either way ill be buying a 360 WAY before a PS3

Im going with Nintendo. The other systems just seem like there trying to hard with the hardware. Nintendo has it where you can download all there old games and its going to be wireless internet. I can always buy Xbox and PS3 like games for my PC but nothing cannot replace Nintendos brand.

Ladies, Gents, please ... obviously you have not done all of your homework. Lemme fill you in.

Now there is a great amount of "geek" talk in this so I'll try to bold out the most important things.

First of all, the XBOX 360 will be released in late 2005 of this year, while the PS2 will be released, hopefully, in Spring 2006.

Graphically, both are impressive, and while the X360 has yet to show any demos of their console, I'm sure they will also have mind-boggling, out of the water graphics. In a switch-up from the original system, the X360 will be using ATI graphics, while the PS3 will be using NVIDIA "RSX" graphics. Both can clock about 500 mhz (which is a lot). To put it in a comparison, the RSX PS3 graphics are supposed to be "more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra cards put together." If you don't know what those are, just know that those are one of the highest-end graphic cards for PCs right now.

From a memory stand point, both will be able to hold 512 MB memory, even though the PS3's is split into a 256MB of XDR and 256MB GDDR3. On the PS3, there is a multitide of media options: six USB ports a memory stick, a SD slot, and even a compact flash. The X360 on the other hand did not support as many multi-media options, only rumored to have two memory slots, a handful of USB ports, and other accomidating options for items such as the iPod. A big important thing is that the X360 can reach across the network to access local media such as THE WINDOWS PC

Both systems will have excellent optical drives. The X360 has dual-layered DVD systems which can hold up to 9 GB of data, while the PS3 will have Blu-Ray format discs that hold up to 54GB of data.

Both of the processors can clock about 3.2 GHz which is about the same as a standard gaming computer. PS3 will sport the 5.1 dolby digital while the X360 is holding the 32-bit, 256 channel support for sound.

Let's talk internet and network. We all know the PS2 was a mess when it came to online compared to the organized XBOX live, but things change. Both come with built-in ethernet adapters, but the PS3 also holds a wireless adapter while the X360 does not.

All in all, both the PS3 and X360 is stronger than your standard computer you game with. To throw out a couple of numbers, 3.2GHz, 512 MB of RAM, and Graphics beyond the world are plain amazing. It's still relatively early considering that it's still a year until the release of the PS3 and half a year for the X360 (Look what a year did for the XBOX compared to the PS2). But as of now, the PS3 by far slapped around Microsoft during the E3 presentation.

For the record, the PS3 controller blows :)

No matter what MS said its specs were, sony would of said something better no matter what. It's what sony does. Before ps2 came out they said it could play games with toy story (the movie) graphics. Does it look like it did it? no. PS3 demo video's were not run on ps3, they were pre rendered video's. There is no way in hell you can say it is better than xbox 360 from PC generated video's. Wait till both launch.
