I found this blurb about PS3 over at EB Games...

The PS3 comes with six USB slots, three times more than the PS2. The machine also comes with a Memory Stick slot, a compact flash slot, and an SD card slot for additional external media. However, the PS3 does not have a Memory Card slot, despite its backward compatibility with the PS2, raising the question of how players will transfer game saves.

Since the PS3 won't support the traditional memory card, can someone tell me what they mean by a memory stick. I'm used to the PS and PS2 where you save your game data to the memory card. What exactly is a memory stick?

The same Type of card sony cameras save to.

Just like an SD card, XD card. Its basicly a Stick with memory.

A Memory card with the name of Memory Stick.

That will be awesome....rather than paying $30 for an 8 mb card....you can pay $50 for a 1 gig stick.

I'm sure there will be a way to transfer files from the card to the stick....I will be surprised if there isn't.

Maybe they'll have a little adapter that plugs into one of those ports to transfer memory...
