View Full Version : Ps2 Vs Xbox: I...have...decided!

And the winner is PS2!

Despite most people nudging me towards the XBOX, I've decided on the PS2. Why? It came down to this:

1. I remember loving the original "Final Fantasy" back in the day on the NES. The new ones are on PS2.

2. Grand Theft Auto.

3. I can play old PS games on it, should I ever feel the need.

4. In general, just more RPG gaming, which is my cup o tea.

So I guess it came down to software. Thanks everyone for the input.

you can play grand theft auto on xbox.

but your right, i used to watch my bro play final fantasy 7 all the time and i thought it was the craziest game (in a good way) ever.

haha i can tell your upset.

it's weird remembering my bro playing it. he had it for computer, and beat it. then when i bought my playstation he bought it for playstation and beat it on that. He even had one of those cheat guides that he used.

too bad i always sucked at those types of games.

my favorite type of game is definitely the grand theft auto series...

once i get my next paycheck i am definitely buying that new one for XBOX! My bro already has it for playstation and i've watched him play it so i know how to complete the missions hahahaha

Are you serious, you must suck at driving games. I beat it in under a week. But kept playing with the building new cars. . i love it..

No, im quite good actually, i just havent got the chance to play it, i play halo 2 and ESPN 2k5 and got side tracked.

I might as well crank it up again.

It is super easy to beat if you are good at drift races and drag's.. i am a great sports gamer but suck at RPGs and stuff

That game was fun.

The easyest car to drfit with is the Mustang. Not great on the drags.... but man... it can drift.


Good on the PC.

LR, if you like shooters, pick up Medal of Honor: Euopean Assult. I just got it this weekend and it's pretty good.

I'd heard those MOH games were pretty good.

As for Halo on the XBOX, I have to level...I went over to a friend's house and tried it - I don't get the obsession. It was FUN, but it wasn't like "wow, I have to play this again soon" fun.

I played this one shooter type game for the PS2 - Deus Ex - and I liked it a whole lot more.

As for the PC, I have one, but I don't like gaming on it. I can't get used to the keyboard controls, and I can't find a USB controller I like. I am a Quake III arena STUD though :)

The only reason PS2 is better than the XBox is the controller...directional Jukes/Stiffarms are the way to go. On the box, it's a pain to have to flick the stick towards the juke way (Maybe it's more natural, but it's a pain in the butt). Other than that, I'll take my Box any day (Just for the additional "Features" you can get with XBMC)

Shooters on a console are a waste of time for the most part...the strategery ones aren't bad, but any twitch FPS is bollocks ... you can't crank the axis speed high enough to work well. I'll take my WASD setup any day over an analog stick.

You're def. a RPG gamer Leeroy, as Deus Ex is an RPG disguised as a shooter.

After you get done with all the recent Final Fantasies I suggest Dark Cloud 1 & 2 and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland (Chicks dig Harvest Moon BTW)

Yea i keep winning races and drags and those URLs but i haven't got a Mustang yet, so i gave up on that game, i now play MVP 2005 (GO RED SOX)
