Im in a keeper league that is starting this year. Its me and my friends, we have played for 3 years now but are just starting a keeper this year. They LOVE to draft RB's and WB's right away, so I was thinking, maybe i should avoid this and take the best at other positions. Like im sure Randy Moss would go in the first round even though he is a WR, but who ever grabbed him is getting an RB next for sure. We havent decided how many guys we are allowed to keep, but i think its going to be half of our roster.
Anyways, i was thinking I will try to get Randy Moss first round, then Tory Holt or some other top tier WR 2nd round. Then later on try to grab guys who are likely to turn into studs, like Tatum Bell and Stephen Jackson and then later get a backup who could turn great like JJ Arrington, Carnell Williams..etc.
This way ill end up with great WR's which are hard to find, some RB's who could produce this year, and i can keep for the future, and im going ot try and get Brian Griese, Carr, Leftwich, Collins....some sort of QB who could break out this year.
Do you guys think this startegy will work, or should i go with my original plan of trying to get Willis McGahee/Dominick Davis first round and then Kevin or Julius Jones 2nd round?
