Which would be your extra roster spot?

Some teams keep X number of players at each position. Some keep an extra, as the Bucs did when they kept 4 quarterback. Some keep receivers, linemen, defensive backs, even kickers.

Where would you keep an extra player?

WR......could say DB, but we could probably slide a S in there.

WR is my final answer.

edit: remember I told you first Raheem

You will almost never use your 4th QB so that is out of the question.

I would probably say D lineman because if you have depth at that position it allows you to have a good rotation and consitantly get pressure on the QB.

I would probably have to go with either an extra defensive lineman or running back.

When you carry 4 QB's, chances are there are better veteran QB's sitting at home on the couch waiting for a call (V. Testaverde, Jets, Bucs lose...ugh) than what you have at #4.

The last QB on your roster is not like the last WR or last CB. That last position player can play special teams, or be the 2nd or 3rd guy on the field. A QB...you only play one at a time.

WR, RB, CB, LB are also an easy choice because they can all be asked to play special teams. When's the last time you saw a #3 or #4 QB on kick coverage?

Why... At most you are going to use 3 of them and that is still very very unlikely. Why not use that roster spot for something that needs it.

I would say DB. Lets face it Ronde is older, and we are stretch thin. I feel semi comfortable with the WR situation only because we have K2 who will hopefully be a big part of this offense. I also am hopeful that Clayton steps up this season.

I believe there should be nine defensive lineman on the team this season.

DEs - Adams, Wilkerson, White, K. Moore
DTs - Hovan, Miller, Sims, D. Moore

ninth player - either Louis Holmes or Rashaad Duncan

A team can't go wrong with a good defensive line rotation.

My second choice would be be running back, because of all the talent there is.

RBs - Ward, Graham, Williams, Smith, Huggins
FBs - Askew, Cook

That's seven, and we normall keep about five. I would say cut loose of Cook and have Graham sub in at FB if need be.

On the Buc's considering how bad barber got burnt I would say Secondary and considering the depth on the Offensiveline, I would not hessitate to throw another body in there.

I like that too, or more of a fullback with great receiving skills to cover the WR position mentioned above.

I don't feel we run the ball enough to keep that many RB's on the team.

I agree 100% with the Defensive Line though.

RBs, you never know when they will all somehow get injured...specially if your o-line sucks.
