he can't get into the draft, he'll be entered into the supplemental draft if he decides to.

And somebody is going to take a chance on him quite early, possibly second round.

Too bad he ran into trouble, he was a nice talent. Maybe he can recover to play a decnt role in the NFL. If we look at him, I hope we take our time and see what he's like.

no he definately won't go that early

Remember last year Poole from USC was projected to go 1st or 2nd round, slipped to the 2nd day of the draft because he got in trouble with the law the day before the draft

Brooks may still appeal to enter the draft, then if denied can either declare for the supplemental draft or transfer to a D-AA school for his final year of NCAA eligability

Ahmad Brooks missed the deadline to declare for the NFL Draft back in late January. It was intentional because he was planning to come back for another year at Virginia, but then he ran into problems that forced him out of the university.

I remeber mocks taking this guy in the top 15 a few years ago, and expected him to be where Hawk will probably be... instead, he went in the complete opposite direction.

2 years ago, my mistake

I was sitting there for like 5 minutes trying to think which year it was, and I didn't feel like looking it up so I just put last year

No, you're right.

Legal trouble is like trying to sell bad mayonaise. Teams will be treading carefully. I didn't think of that right away, and I was refering to his outright talent.

I'm a student at the university of virginia.

Word around campus is that he recently weighed in around 280 lbs (probably exagerated) and just doesn't care anymore. Apparantly after he got injured he lost his work ethic. I heard all he does now is marijuana.

Take what i say with a grain of salt, since i only know this through word of mouth.
