Our Best Draft Pick ups

I think that the three best pickups in this draft was 3rd round pick Maurice Stovall, 4th round Pick Alan Zemaitus, and Free Agent add Andre Hall.

Maurice Stovall provides us with a big target to go across the middle and as you can see by his previous numbers he exceedes in a pro-style offense.

2004 (before Charlie Weiss Pro offense): 21 catches 313 yards 1 TD
2005 (With Weiss): 69 catches 1149 yards 11 TD

Alan Zemaitus started all 12 games as a senior in 2005 and finished with 51 tackles, 2.5 TFL, six interceptions and 10 PBU. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles. Zemaitis started 34 of Penn State's last 35 games, and he was named first-team All-Big Ten and second-team All-America as a senior in 2005. Zemaitis is a smooth, fluid athlete for his size. He is technically sound with good awareness, aggressiveness and ball skills in coverage. He also is a productive contributor in run support (ESPN.com). If all this is true how did he drop this far. I personally saw him play when USF played Penn St. and he is an outstanding player. He came back from being injured in a car accident to be better than he was before.

Andre Hall I am currently a USF student that has watched Andre Hall at USF these past two years. He has an uphill battle to make the team but let me tell you he will give it all plus more. He returned kicks his junior year with success and he is always willing to do anything to help his team win. He has great strength and great vision. Mel Kiper had him listed as his 10th best RB in the draft to go in Round 3 at the latest. This was a steal that he dropped and we got him. I can't wait to see Hall on the field.

Another great pick was Bruce Gradkowski who is a great MAC QB. He became the 1st QB in NCAA history to complete 70% of his passes in 2 consecutive years. He is also a great scrambler.

Overall I believe that this was a decent drafts where we got some steals but also got some wtf picks. Hopefully a few years down the road this draft will pan out like the last few.
