Michael Lewis actually thinks the Eagles won!
Im proud to have him as our leader, safety Michael Lewis said. My hat goes off to him. The things he was going through out there, he threw up out there and he came back and willed this team to a victory. It was an unbelievable finish.Ahhh, the score was in favor of the Bucs!!!

I suspect Lewis considers it the defense's fault for not keeping us out of FG range... McNabb put them in a position to win the game.
McNabb's 3 picks (two for opposing TDs), and inability to get his team in the endzone for the entire 1st half were a insignificant detail.

This brings to mind Mike D'Antoni's press conference after Kobe beat the Suns with that buzzer beater in game 4. But at least he corrected himself immediately.
Michael Lewis is a genius.

Mark this down as another one of those idiotic things players say after a loss....right along with Aaron Brooks' "I owned them with my eyes." after getting creamed by the Seahawks.

Is that the same Michael Lewis S that the board
was talking about going after in FA next year? Maybe he should a worded a bit differently if he doesn't want to be looking silly with the comment. No I'm not ready....The BUCS WON! yahoo! |

Wow. I googled it and it still sounds better when read as ambiguously gay rather than what he really meant.
