Our new coach will be...

...Jeff Fisher...always loved the guy with the Titans...uses shotgun and was always successful...after he gets fired as the Titans coach...and Gruden gets axed here...I'll be looking forward to seeing Fisher on our sidelines with the headphones on...

You heard it here first...

Yeah, I like that idea. But I would rather have Bart Simpson than Gruden at this point.

I don't want some recycled failure that some other city doesn't want anymore. Gruden will get hired somewhere too, how would you like to be that city?

Fisher's contract is up after this year, correct?

At worst, much to the dismay of many here, Gruden is forced to get a "real" OC.
Fisher will be a FA and go somwhere else before we get a chance to sign him.

Jeff Fischer? Are you kidding? He never even won a SB and they have sucked for years and years.

Gruden won a SB and won a division since despite a total dearth of depth from losing 4 #1's and 3 #2's in the last 6 years.

You're joking right??? Are you really that stupid to know how good of a coach this guy is??? Go ahead...look up his success in Tennessee...he was in the playoffs year in and year out until the front office cleaned house on him...

McKay cleaned house on Gruden too and the picks the Glazers gave up to get him have crippled the franchise with ZERO depth on defense.

The defense is now broken and losing 5 potential impact players from moving up to get Walker, the KJ trade and the Gruden trade are huge.

If we want him we'll have to outbid the Cowboys, rumor is they're going after Fisher once Parcells retires.

I'd take any of them, we have got to get some fresh meat in there. Fischer, Ditka, JJ, Monte, whoever. Just a new body and a new attitude. Needs to start being about the team again rather than the head coach and his ego.

Oh and of course whoever it is better bring in a bonafide friggin' OC for a change!

The whole argument against Gruden is that he hasn't done enough since he won the lombardi.

Fisher never won a Lombardi yet TN hasn't done ANYTHING since their playoff run around the turn of the century.

The game is about championships, he has been coaching for years and he has NONE. The guy here now has one more than none and we are talking about ridding ourselves of him! This makes you the moron here, not me.

Wow...dude...just stop posting...that's not even close...have you watched him at all the past 3 1/2 years??? Even when we were winning it was despite of him...

At this point...it's not about who else we get...we just need a change...and Fisher is the best option available after this season...

McKay hasn't been the GM here for almost 4 years...how long to plan to blame him?

Those high draft picks would just be coming into their prime so yes, the actions of McKay and the Glazers are very relevant.

Gruden won with Dungys team...granted Dungy couldn't win with Dungys team but that's his own problem...look at what has happened with this franchise since he got here...he wanted to put his own "stamp" on this team...brought in all those old *** free agents that did nothing but waste cap room...

Gruden and Fisher have both been to a Superbowl...Gruden made it with a team somebody else built from scratch...and Fisher went with a team he made himself...I'd put all of my trust in with Fisher...Gruden lost it long ago...

Forever. That will always be Boy Blunder's excuse for this pathetic show he is putting on. Guess we can put those shades away he boasted we would need once he ran Mr McKay out of here.

Arrow Fisher

I live in Tennessee so I get to watch the Titans week in and week out. Fisher is a very good coach. He was successful for multiple years, not just the superbowl year. It wasn't until they had to dump almost all of their players (J. Kearse, E. George, D. Mason, L. Schulters, S. Rolle, A. Dyson, K. Carter, J. McCareins... and almost all in one season) that they became bad. However, I don't think the Bucs will pick him up. Too many other teams would be interested in his services.

Yeah he won with Dungy's team. That is the stupidest crap I have read yet. He won with a totally retooled offense, a patchwork offensive line, and a defense that wasn't nearly as good as the one Dungy lost with in 1999-2000.

How can the loss of 5 potential impact draft picks not affect a franchise? Of course it is going to at the margins.

The defense is way too old and we have mostly scrubs in the backfield after Barber with BK hurt.

It wasn't the losing of draft picks that effected us...it was the boat load of over the hill vets Gruden demanded...he doesn't like young players...he wants vets...the ones he got were all crap...Galloway is the only one that stayed long enough to make any sort of impact...tell me how many different players started on our team from 01-02 to 02-03...

...like I said...Gruden won with Dungys team...
