6 easy steps to becoming a Buccaneers "FORMAL" fan!

I thought it was time a for a list to help those of us who are mired in the humiliating position of being "casual" Bucs fans. Like me, you may have thought that a lifetime devotion to the team coupled with rarely missing the games since the first season would suffice. You couldn't be more WRONG. Here is how to do it...
6) You must spend many hours on this board running up a post count that reflects your acute knowledge of the game. This has been essential since the inception of the sport. It is a little known fact that before the Internet was a twinkle in a Al Gore's eye, Vince Lombardi spent most of his days and nights preparing for the future of Bulletin Boards.
5) Build a repertoire of childish insults. "Idiot" is undoubtedly the best way to prove that you're right and THEY'RE wrong, but don't be afraid to use "maroon," "dumb ***," and the super-sarcastic "genius."
4) Get a catch phrase. This is a tough one, but it should be something that not only confirms your superior knowledge as a formal fan, but puts those "casual" fans where they belong... In a RACK perhaps?
3) Make enough predictions that some inevitably come true. And even if they don't you can stretch the thread on for months by claiming additional details that were not evident in original post. Example: "The Bucs will beat the Eagles." Then, after the Bucs lose... "I meant...The Bucs will beat the Eagles, in 2021!"
2) "Used to be" something. This one is easy but essential. "I used to be a coach!" "I used to be a linebacker." You can even prove your point, and your "formal" fan status, by "used to being" something unrelated to football. "I used to be a garbage man, so I KNOW a garbage touchdown when I see it!"
1) Lastly, you must constantly remind everyone who disagrees with you of their "casual" status, thus proving that anything they say is merely the mindless workings of someone whose love of the Bucs, and football in general, is in short supply.

Well, I figured it WAS about being a formal bucs fan, or even a formal fan of football in general. That was my interpretation, but as a casual fan I often make mistakes. If you think I overstepped my bounds for the sake of irony then I accept your judgement and I apologize, which I couldn't do if I were a formal fan.

I really do not care about that, I will stand toe to toe with any of them. I am here for entertainment and good Buc/Football talk, not to prove my fan status.

First off, drop the attitude. Second, do you actually think I would believe that this thread was about being a "formal" Bucs fan rather than a shot towards a select few members? Members are prohibited from intentionally and consistently posting comments that either result in, or are designed to, inflame, provoke and incite continuous arguments and mean spirited debates. The way I see it, this thread was designed to provoke a reaction, not give a 411 on how to be a fan, meaning it also has nothing to do in the Team Discussions Forum.

Feel free to take a week off to think about why this wasn't a good idea. The reason I'm keeping it that short is because you are a veteran and I consider this a temporary lack of judgment rather than anything else. Don't make me regret it once you get back.
