SUPER BOWL.......Saturday?

Anybody else here find it hard to get in a great party frame of mind at 6:20 on a Sunday night?
I have always felt the NFL has missed a real opportunity in not moving this game to prime time Saturday night.....only problem it would create as many DUI's as New Years Eve.

No. Sleepwalking through the Monday after at work is a great tradition. Why rush the off-season?

Exactly, they never plan meetings that Monday and no body really wants to do anything. It's almost like a 3 day weekend. Why would you want to take that away?

They should change it to saturday if they are going to kep the two weeks in between. I think the reason they dont is because of all the events they have that weekend. It has become superbowl weekend not just superbowl Sunday.

I love this board for the experience and insight it throws at my simple little mind.

This is simple simpletons. People do stuff on Saturday and Saturday Night. People do less stuff on Sunday and especially Sunday Night. That's why the game is played when it is and it is not going to change. Nobody cares how you feel on Monday.

It's always nice to know someone is a lot more miserable than I am.

I wish there was only a week in between this year so we can get on with the NON-firing of Gruden.

Friday is for high school football.

Saturday is for college football.

Sunday is for NFL.

The only exception really should be the wild card/divisional rounds, which need to be played Saturdays and Sundays.

Well, with the hangover from yesterday's festivities still lurking...this topic has been a nice reminder of the pain and suffering most of us will be feeling exactly two weeks from now!
Cheers...

If the NCAA went to a playoff system, I would love to see the NCAA National Championship game the week before the Super Bowl, on a Saturday night, so there is no 2 week break between meaningful football.

That'd be quite the season. You could break your collarbone twice and still play in the championship game.

I kinda liked the BCS game on Monday night .... I mean you go to work, you talk it up, you go to the party, and you come back the next day .... WITH a Championship !

My expierience has been as long as your a good little boy or girl and make it to work all year long go ahead and make the call in Monday morning. I mean just tell them your sick and don't elaborate. You could be sick from your team losing, your drinks coming too fast, or just sick from all the rich S.B. food that is laid out. So it's not like your lying, then just go to work Tuesday with a clean conscience!

My friends and I ditch class the Monday after the superbowl.

every year.

It's tradition. It can't be broken.
