Lewis is not the future in Cleveland. That being said, I really don't even try to predict who will pick who....

They signed eric steinbach, the best FA linemen, and they traded reuben Droughns, that means that they will draft peterson for sure.

That doesn't matter...The Browns need o-line anyway...they always suck at blocking so why pass on Thomas?

what do you guys think?

Very intelligent Mock

Comments:
5. ARIZONA- They must have sold their souls to Satan to be able to get Joe Thomas at #5

7-MINNY-Jarrett: Everyone thinks the Vikes will mortgage their draft to move up for CJ. Me, I think they keep their picks and just take Jarrett. He is an elite WR. Not as good as CJ, but I think if you add up Jarrett and all the other guys Minny will draft, it will equal CJ. So good projection.

10-ATLANTA- Landry: I hate to see this guy in a division rival uniform. Landry will haunt us for years.

19- TENNESSEE- Meachem - People think this would be a reach, I think this is the perfect fit for Vince.

20-NYG- Merriweather - I think the off the field issues will prevent him from being taken in the first round. His talent warrants this pick, but I just dont think he will go this high.

22-DALLAS- Willis - It is scary to think of Willis joining a defense that boasts DeMarcus Ware, Roy William, Spears and Newman. I dont think he will fall this far, but looking at all the picks before Dallas, it is possible.

27-NEW ORLEANS- Posluszny- Another guy I hate to see in a division rival uniform. He is a pros pro and will anchor their LBs for years.

32-INDY- Timmons- He is going to bring some Nasty to the Super Bowl champs. I was hoping he might fall to us in the 2nd.

I agree. There`s a chance they`ll be in the top 10 again next year. They can find a replacement for Lewis then if they dont this year. It`s harder to find a stud LT than a stud RB.....

I think they are in the same boat as the Bucs. You almost cant go wrong, unless we take another guard in the 1st! (sarcasm)

we signed steinbach because he's good, but apparently you missed the rumor, there's 5 guys who play on an offensive line, you can spread it if you want

Cleveland wouldn't pass on joe thomas for peterson because we still need to build the line and we've already said that jlew is the guy, he's old? he's 27, another secret you can spread

and he's not as slow as you think

and we traded droughns, which would be because we've got a power back in jlew, we don't need 2, which is stupid because new york now has 2 guys who are big and slow

Browns have Bentley and Steinbach.. that's a power combo.. They are good for a while on blocking. AP is the best pick for them.. I don't see the Lions taking Quinn though, they may though. I think he falls until 8 to the Texans.. Levi there is their best choice.. Poz in a Saints uni though, That's just not good news for us.. He's a great linebacker.. and will anchor that core for years.. He will go back to Outside in the pros though.

It makes sense for the Saints to get Thomas, that was he and Steinbach would make for a nice powerful duo on that left side.

And Lewis would run through those holes. He may not be great, but he can do for one year. Plus I think they'd take a back in round 2 or 3.

You do know that Bentley is likely gone for the 07' season. His knee hasn't healed the way it was supposed to. Browns would be smart to take Joe Thomas over Peterson.

The fact that you have Olsen going in the top 15 means that you pay more attention than most NFL commentators.

that is not true, i just think that the panthers need a TE, they also need LB's, but i wouldnt be suprised if they took Olsen, he is big, fast and talented, defenetly worth a top 20 pick if you dont have any bigger needs....

First of all LeCharles Bentley's career is potentially over so you can take him out of that equation and a long with that just because you have a fairly good guard in Eric Stenbach that doesnt mean you are "set" with blocking. You want to have good linemen all along the line not just at one position. The browns have Jamal Lewis and Jerome Harrison (hes better than Reggie Bush ) so Joe Thomas will be the pick because not only will he open up holes for the RBs he will also help the passing game.

D. Jarrett going in the top ten is ludicrous. The Vikings would take Ginn before Jarrett. Jarrett had a great college career with like 65 total touchdowns, but he's too slow for an NFL receiver to get picked in the top ten.(example.....Mike Williams)

The Browns let alone the Bucs I do not see passing on Thomas even with CJ on the board. I really can't see him falling into Zona's lap at #5.

Can you guys stomach another first round reciever? Calvin is a speciman, I won't argue that, but how many busts have we seen in the last few years on big money, first round WR's. I think we need to make the safer play here. Consider the fact that we have already addressed the need at DE, CB, and OL. I believe Gruden and company will look to draft a new franchise QB for the future. Draft is as follows:
1 Oakland - J Russell (Al has officially lost it)
2 Detroit - C Johnson (Mullin finally gets fired for always taking WR)
3 Cleveland - A Peterson (Lewis is a temporary fix)
4 Tampa Bay - B Quinn (Weis bred, built, and brains, Gruden likey)
