Lack of Travel This Preseason

Does it worry anyone else that we never leave the state of FL this preseason. To some it may seem like no biggie but I think that as a player you really have to adjust your mind set when your in a new place the night before the big game. I would have liked to see us go to Houston or New England. It would have given our younger player the chance to see what its like on the road and give them the chance to get adjusted to playing in a different state with different wheather and some true road experience. Well good luck to our boys come week 1 as they travel across the country to take on Seahawks....

Not sure, Interesting.
Pros- get all the noobies used to the heat, never a bad thing for meaningless games

cons- traveling to the furthest possible site for our first game in Seattle will be an interesting itinerary for them also

Depends on what they're used to college wise IMO

It's like that for every team... the NFL keeps preseason regional to drum up local rivalries.

RELAX... we play Jax and Mia EVERY preseason. This preseason we happened to draw the out of state teams at home. Wow. Is this your first season following the Bucs?

i like the idea of them playing in the florida heat- very much needed.

even though they dont leave the state- believe me playing in jacksonville will be a good road test- the fans will make sure of that. its a rivaly the same as with miami. they will get their road training.

after playing pre-season games in the heat- opening the season at seattle, will be refreshing, their stamina should be greater, and may this will translate to being fresher in the 4th qtr. which kiffin has been wanting for his defense for some time.

jags defense is monstrous, couldn't ask for a better challenge for our offense.
