The Mark Jones fan protest

This idea started in another thread, but I want to put the word out.

Since it is absolutely embarassing to have to hear it brought up every game about how we have never returned a kick for a TD and we don't show any signs of caring about this issue, I think we need to get proactive. Especially considering our offense hasn't exactly been a force to be reckoned with, wouldn't it be nice to at least have someone who can give us field position?

Mark Jones is not going to get the job done. He has about as good a chance of returning a kickoff for a TD as Tom Tupa does of becoming a QB coach.

Here's what I propose we do.

When you watch Bucs games this year...No matter whether you are at Ray Jay, at home, or at Earl's Chug and Puke, here's what we're going to do.........Whenever there is a kickoff and Mark Jones is back there....turn your back and don't watch it. If you are at Ray Jay, turn all the way around in your seat. {Of course don't do this if you are driving, do it in spirit}

We can't make roster moves as fans, but we do have the power to not subject ourselves to the run to the sidelines, tiptoe out of bounds, miss the block and run right into the defender nonsense we have been subjected to..

I think Phillip Buccannon should get the kick return job along with Earnest Graham, both fast with great feild vision. Mark Jones just plain sucks

I agree that Mark Jones is nothing special as a PR or KR, IMP the bucs should have kept Chad Owens instead. IMO Phillip B. should return Punts and K. Darby should return KO and Mark Jones should be cut.

If buccannon was going to get the job they would have tried him out already in the preseason

Not me. I'm sure the odds are more than 1 million to one that Mark Jones will return one for a TD this year, but I would sure hate to miss it on the off chance that he did. And if he does, I'll be the first to thank Coach Tupa.

That's for sure but even more importantly, how great is our depth in CB's? Maybe I should ask that after the final cuts. Can we afford for PBuc to get an injury fetching kickoffs?

Since the question stated that I get to be fruitful and prosperous until one of these happen, I'm going to go with B. That will take longer. There could be a scenario where Jones bobbles the ball and unintentionally kicks it to an upback, who might return it the rest of the way.

I forsee that as more likely than the D-Rays going to the playoffs on a shoestring budget, so I pick B.{Although if either happens, I will die anyway......Autopsy results: Cause of death= amazement}
