Mmmmm, Cupcakes

Alright, who has the tastiest cupcake for opening weekend? Everyone knows you try to get the easy ones in the beginning so you can disguise weaknesses until you have time to work on them.

Local team, Penn State, has Florida International served up. Not to be outdone, they follow-up with Buffalo and Temple before they start any semblence of a respectable schedule.

So, who else has some cupcakes to start the season?

Michigan has Appalachian State.

The big reason the small teams take on the powerhouses is because they get a share of the gate revenue and some other cash.

Michigan seats 90,851 more people in their stadium.

You can just feel the tension in the Wolverine lockerroom.

In all seriousness, I think UCF will upset NC State...at least I hope so or else we'll be 0-2 on September 15th.

Haven't heard anything about Wyoming, but then again it doesn't really matter since I don't expect much from UVa this year (except, hopefully, a good showing of solid growth by Jameel Sewell).

USF is not a cupcake, for God's sake. USF is a top fourty school, they will not go down that easily, even on a Saturday night. You guys talk about how good your LBs are. Well, we're lucky-we have a very experienced O-line. That and our defense will keep USF in the game all night long.

I have to go with this one. I looked up the lines and the three I found were USC by 46 1/2, 46 1/2 and 47.

USF is tough, but shouldn't be a problem for AU. Gotta go with the SEC on this one.

LSU has to play VT in week 2......good thing it's in Death Valley. This will be a tough game.

I honestly wonder if people know what they're talking about....well its not much wonder...more like I know that you don't...

Wyoming a cupcake? lol.....Wyoming is going to beat Virginia...if anything that's a bit reversed as to who the cupcake is....

then we have a guy comparing USF to Wazzu? with a name like auburn I assume you live in the south.....you should try to keep up with the schools in the region....USF may or may not beat Auburn but they would be 5th or 6th in the SEC...they're better than Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas....about at the level of a South Carolina...they have the best QB in the state of Florida at any level (pros included)....an emerging defense...Auburn has QB issues, and issues running the ball....Auburn will probably win with the score 20-14...hardly a cupcake...

Wazzu would have lost to USF last year by at least 2 TDs...especially if they played in florida....

I love the games that are so out of whack, the odds-makers won't even put out a line.

That's good eatin, folks.

I think Auburn was just taking a shot at the USF fans on this board. I believe most people know that USF is a good team.

I assume you are using the old labels for D1A and D1AA -- didn't they just change last year or two years ago?

Some places are actually putting up lines for these types of game now.

For example, one place I saw had Ohio State -31 vs. Youngstown State.

We will see what happens when Grothe tries to run around on my 4.4 speed OLB's.

Quentin Groves will get no less than 2 sacks this game.
