gosh, imagine if our defense wasn't too old and our coach didn't suck

how much better we could play!!!! oh and if were weren't playing one of the top offenses in the league last year.
gosh we might have had a chance this game.

we are up 21-0

So you are one of those who just like to start arguments. What more can you ask for.

Idiots run this board, and you seem to be their leader.

Go die

Have a nice day....I know I am!

GO BUCS!

I don't think our coach sucks at coaching....he sucks with personnel. I always said just let Gruden coach the game and he's one of the better coaches in this league. Probelm is he's gotten too damn involved with GM duties.

i agree with you completely. especially your last sentence. i truly believe in my heart of hearts last year was not so much gruden but a plethra of bad timing coming together in a perfect storm of injuries, salary cap, poor draft position and inexperienced QB's. i feel great about this year. i really do.

I can't understand the extremes on this board - it's either doom and gloom, or superbowl bound.

There's never been just a regular appreciation for the team, a general feeling of unease and disgust for certain aspects of the game but also a sense of hope and possibility.

It's one game - as good as the Bucs looked this game, they looked equally awful last game.

Remember: The Saint's defense SUCKS. Also, the Bucs D was only mediocre in the second half..AGAIN.

.
incorrect sir. the bucs looked good in lotsa places last week. did they play a good team. absolutely. did they win. no. however, there were many many bright spots last weeks and if you didn't catch them then you just weren't paying attention.

also i don't remember you on this board last week saying
"its one game- as bad as the bucs looked this game, they can look equally good next week" nope. don't remember you posting anything close to that.
so yeah, i will stick with my hope and optimism until i can see a damn fine reason to give it up.
oh and by the way, the bucs secondary defense was playing quite a bit in the 4th quarter today. perhaps you weren't paying attention to that either.

The Bucs did do a lot of good things last week, but they did even MORE awful things (and if you aren't currently paying attention, that "good" team the Bucs played last week, aren't doing a very good job).

And no, of course you didn't hear me say that - after watching how excellent the first quarter was, I got excited - until I finished watching the game, which only ended in frustration and disappointment. You won't hear me saying they will do awful last week either

Rather than making ridiculous pessimistic or optimistic predictions, I enjoy an optimistic outlook with a knowledge of all the faults a pessimist would point out.

It's one game, there is absolutely NO way anyone determine how good or how bad a team is from one game. There are way too many faults on this team for it to become a serious playoff contender (right now) - but that doesn't hinder my optimistic view on the POSSIBILITY of that happening.

NO has an awful defense, and only one WR worth mentioning. Bucs couldn't handle their running game, and struggled (albeit slightly) against the pass game in the second half (with obvious other reasons - but that would then point to the lack of a pass rush).

Hard to judge the offense when they couldn't score a TD against the Hawks (a team Arizona currently has at least 2 on), but then dominated a team that couldn't stop a high school football team from scoring.

All I'm saying is that the Bucs are an enigma - optimism and pessimism are both good, but in small doses. It's saddening to come at this forum and look at "FIRE GRUDEN, CADDY SUCKS, START GRADKOWSKI, CUT BROOKS" threads when the Bucs lose and "GRUDEN IS AWESOME, CADDY'S GOT GUTS, DEFENSE LOOKS LIKE 01 DEFENSE! BUCS WIN DIVISION" threads when the Bucs win.

Is having ADD a requirement to be on this forum?

Not really true... We played a DEEP Cover II... almost a "prevent" defense.. we GAVE them the middle of the field, and they chewed up the clock using it. The defense had a great game.

I suppose my expectations are high? They did a good job, but they did not shock me or take over the game by any means.

I understand they were in a deep cover 2, but if that's the case - how was NO able to score 2 touchdowns when the Bucs were able to focus on the pass? I can understand the Saints breaking midfield, maybe a little more - but after that, the D should be able to clamp down.

Once again, I enjoyed the game and am in no way trying to take away from the win - but lets keep the extremes to a minimum.
