confused

I don't get it. Why would anyone come to this site to post, get information or chat if it wasn't about football?

I don't see the issue. Someone help me.

Easy Princess. In this world there are people who have nothing better to do, as miserable as their existence is, than to go somewhere, anonymously, of course, , and pursue their own agenda, no matter how un-interesting. You name it, bulletin boards, talkshows, cb radios, if it's faceless, it's fair game. You know the type. Even the ones who come on a board and write "Your team Sux!", then slink back under their rock. I say, pity their pathetic existence. Pay them no heed.
I think the Bucs are great.

I think the Bucs are great.

I don't think that's fair to make fun of those who have social issues to deal with. Some of us just can't find the courage to talk face to face with people, because when you are talking and you look up and you can see them staring back at you and you try and read their face and what their thinking, it's a scary thing. I liked the subtle sarcasm in the post their telling her to take it easy. then making fun of people's social interactions, calling it a pathetic existence. You couldn't even begin to look at existence the way i see it. Maybe i like to talk on bulletin boards because i get the friendship without the cheating and backstabbing found in life. Maybe I like the friendship where distance between you doesn't matter, or where no one cares what you look like because they don't know. who has the pathetic existence now. I have pure amity while you are stuck with the imperfections of your real life interactions. So, is it fair to say that i live a pathetic life? no it isn't, i just think about people and social interactions a bit more than normal and what i think scares me so i veer away from it. So please, next time be a little more intelligent about what you say. The board wasn't erased for off topic debates, it was erased because people were making fun of others' life styles and resorting to name calling.

How about going to a bb that advertises for friends and not messing up a football bbs?

Let's see, if I was looking for football talk, I'd go to a football bbs. I'll let you figure out what type of bbs you need to go to.

Aqua. Seriously. I mean no disrespect. I can understand some people feeling the way they do. But this is a specific forum. It is very easy for people with your problems to come on the board anonymously to talk football. Anyone that disagrees with you can do so. Anyone who would make fun, unless it's tongue in cheek, would be wrong. Everyone has an opinion, right or wrong. But this board is not a social issues board. It was a mess before, with flamers, girl talk, non-football related social issues, which, can become quite inflammatory and turn ugly real fast. There's no room for that here. Sorry. I feel for you. I really do. I've had a very hard life, but I have other ways to deal with it. You come up with some good football stuff and I personally promise you that I'll try and keep up.

Totally agree with you. I'm happy it was cleaned up before the draft and the new coaching starts. Gruden's already pumped up the fans. This is going to be a great year and I'd hate to see the bb not talk about it.

Have you all ever thought that maybe people's like for football could be thought of an icebreaker. I mean the Board has already gone back to talking off topic stuff. The conversations i look for and that sort of thing. I know the flaming was bad, i had to defend myself after i started a few threads back on the old board. You can't expect any board to have one specific subject though. It's just how the human mind works. It's a stream of consciousness thing. I'm glad I'm not made fun of all the time now (except on rare occassions) but you have to expect the off topic discussions on any board, Admin. can't stop everyone from thinking out loud.

Aqua, dude.....You could have whittled down an iceberg with that many posts.
But seriously, the more I read your posts, the more I see a veiled challenge for intellectual combat. .
Come back to Earth, little brother, and you may find people willing to share some serious football with you instead of making fun of you. Otherwise, what you're going to do is make the less cerebral portion of the audience target you. Try simple stuff, like, "I think Jurevicius, with a few more pounds, would make a good Tight End" (a view shared by more than one person). Or maybe, "Signing Jenkins should vastly improve our running game". Or even a simple "I think the Bucs are great". I think you surreptitiously try to goad people into attacking you, just by the nature of what you write. You are inviting bullies. Change your tactics. Keep it simple.

You've only seen two or three posts of mine when i am trying to defend my lifestyle. I have 600. Sure, I've made posts about Jurevicius and the likes. Though through this i have grown to like these people, and since i have no one else to talk to i would like to be able to talk to these people. It's not as hard as it was 2 days ago though since Admin. is letting topics slide towards off topic. Soon I'll be happy and have nothing to complain about and you all will still have the football to talk about. I like talking about football too, but there's only so much that a group of people can say that isn't repetitive. I'll not complain anymore because you can see the board sliding back towards a few off topic (though not scathing or unintelligent) threads.

please however, do not post ANYTHING EVER AGAIN that does not have to do with football. you are interupting the rest of us. now scamper off and try to find other ways to amuse yourself than imitating those of us who you aspire to become. it will never happen and it only makes me look better by comparason
