I am not sure how you can call that being out played. The Bucs made a lot of mistakes. When was the last time you saw 17 penalties called? Sure, the Panthers D is good. They created problems but the Bucs moved the ball when they had to and put themselves in a position to win. I think the Panthers got lucky. I know this will offend Panthers fans but unless you can block 2 field goals and a PAT every game, it was luck. I know, they overpowered the line. But that just doesn't happen 3 times. Again, despite 17 penalties, and blocked kicks, the Bucs still could have won the game. It's not as if the Panthers rolled over the Bucs. I am the first to say that the only stat that matters is this one: 12-9. But Tampa did get almost twice as many first downs, almost 400 yards of offense vs 258 for Carolina. I just don't see that as being out played. Not with 17 penalties. That is not a Carolina thing, that is a Tampa or yes, a ref thing.

I'll give you that on a whole that the Bucs weren't out played but... considering Bucs lost despite putting the yardage on them they did...

The Bucs did not deserve to win period. Bucs special teams are... well "special". You are only looking at 2 of the 3 facets of the game by throwing out the yardage stats. I don't consider superior special teams play luck. Bucs have to shore up special teams all the way around. Although, Tupa seemed like he had an exceptional day.

So if you don't get an interception or a sack every game it's luck too?

Or better still, if you don't get 150 yards rushing every game is that luck too. And just for your info we blocked two kicks last game too. A punt for a safety and a field goal that would have won the game for the jags, our special teams are just playing good and winning us games face it. Oh and yes we did out play you are at the very least equal you for three games so don't act like it's a fluke

Oh brother here we go again, "prepare to be......" and you can fill in the blank with any number of phrases that we heard every single day on the panthers boared like:

Out played
Destroyed
Feel what it's like to play the SB champs

Now we have outcoached, lol lol lol lol. What ever happend to prepare for a good game. Or prepare to see some good defense. You have no clue what will happen in November just as you had no clue what was to happen yesterday. So give me a break and even more so give yourself one.

Hate to tell you this, but the Pants didn't outplay anyone in the second game last year. The score wasn't all that close.

They played a good game yesterday and I gave them props for it, but I'm not ready to just hand over the NFC South to them. They still have a lot to prove after last year's season.

Hey there RealGuy....your boys won a good game, but do not get too far ahead of yourself....this is a very long season, and truth be told, unless you can put the ball in the endzone, it will only get longer.....I am not hatin on your team, or disrespecting you, so I expect the same, but the truth is the Saints beat us TWICE last year, but still could not get into the playoffs.....it would be a WHOLE lot of crow for you to eat if that is the case for your team this year.....1 very good year for a franchise does not put you into the driver's seat in the league....you seem to get a little hyper there buddy.....I know that we have some annoying fans who do not like to accept losses for what ther are, and that is a good gameplan by the other team, but I do, and your boys did it to us, but do not think that this in any way sways what our team has accomplished, and what they have in front of them to accomplish this year....we will not allow one loss to control our season....was two physical games between us last year, and this one played out exactly how I thought it would aside from the score, and I accept nothing less from both of our teams for the next game, but just do not think that because you beat the champs once, that makes you the champs....you still got a long way to go

I'm not sure how anyone could say the Panthers outplayed the Bucs 3 times in a row. Of the three games, one (the second one last year) the Bucs pulled away in the second half and the other two were extremely close. Yesterday's game and the first game last year it would hard to say either team outplayed the other. Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to take anything away from the Pathers victory yesterday - they deserved the win they got.

Savio, you already got us losing up there at your place later this year? I hope you are proud of your first two wins--by one point over a pathetic team and in overtime at Tampa. I'm sure that automatically means you are Super Bowl bound, right?

To the other Panther fan: As for Bucs fans who supposedly were on your board (or boared, as you spelled it) talking smack, don't even try to tell me that it wasn't going both ways. Fans talk smack, especially division rivals. It goes both ways. Oh, and by the way, why did you come over to our board again? It couldn't be to talk smack after you beat us, could it?

I can see saying we got outplayed the first game last year--maaaaaaybe, with Brad Johnson out, by the way. But the 23-10 game??!! That was just a good ole beatdown!!

Remember the Saints? They swept us last year, and look where they ended up. We also lost to Philly and Pittsburgh. Were they in the Super Bowl? We were.

Try actually building a winning tradition, like we have. Then you can talk smack all you like.

You do realize that the Panthers had 16 penalties called right? Granted your yardage was more, but the penalties were not one sided. Just admit you got outplayed you sound like a Radier fan.

Actually,

I was refering to the 2nd game last year were it was a tight game with 4 minutes left when TB reeled off 10 unanswered points. Why are you putting words in my mouth? I don't know how you got that from what I posted but nice try.

The officiating was terrible for both teams and wouldn't have made much of a difference. The only real difference in this game was the special teams play. I was encouraged by knowing how many yards the Bucs offense piled up on a good (excellent) defense, but those yards have to translate to points somewhere or they don't mean a thing.

If Carolina's special teams can play that way in the second meeting they will probably win again. If not, the Bucs walk away with a W.

I agree CGF...but as I posted before we learn and correct they won't likely get away with that play a again.

I just don't get it - but for two plays, the 4th down play last week over Jax and the extra point block yesterday the Panthers could have (some might say "should have") been 0-2. And yet you'd swear they think they're playing like the Bills.

Now I know a win is a win but in the grand scheme of things you might want to count your blessings Panther fans.

The panthers won-hats off to them. Didn't they start 3-0 last year only to finish the rest of the season 4-9. Make the playoff and then we'll talk. Until then, enjoy 1st place for the next couple of weeks..it won't last.

hey panthers fans. GET OVER YOURSELVES!! we were not outplayed or out coached or anything of the sort. your so called 2nd ranked D gave up how many yards.... thouhgt so. anyone who watched the game knows that the ref (who was reffing his first career NFL game) called a bunch of bs calls and i can recall at least 3 calls that should have been called and weren't. 2 of them on 3rd downs roughing the passer. but i guess since B. Johnson isnt fortunate enough to have the ability to move around, its OK for him to get hit after he releases the ball!!!

Yes I will be at the game. My buddies and I started a road game tradition once per year, and the Bucs have not lost five years in a row when we were their. Last year we went to the Caroilina...what a dredfull game, but hey a win is a win. This year its back to Carolina to keep that streak alive!

You just don't understand. The best team has only won one out of three. The Panthers were the best when they went 1-15, too, but in that case the best team only won one out of sixteen. Got it now?
