Hat's off to Jon Gruden and company....from Indy

I just wanted to post a message regarding last nights game and post-game. Jon Gruden proved himself to be a class act by not whining about that last penalty call. He accepted the responibilty for the loss and didn't blame it on the officiating. That shows real class. My hat's off to him and all of the Tampa Bay staff.

I am a Colts fan and am happy to see them win. However, I think the leaping rule is extremely flawed. I don't see how landing on one of your own players after leaping into the air can be considered unsportsman like conduct. It really looks like that particular group of officials reads the rule book before each game and tries to enforce it to the letter.

Thanks for not rubbing salt in our wounds. I know there are some rambunctious 'fans' on our boards that make it easy to kick us while we're down.

Veterans were out of gas, we had no depth at RB by the 4th quarter, practice squad CB at best "trying" to cover the best WR in the league. Returning lack of special teams play.. Complacency should never be on the sidelines. Giving up that kind of lead is inexcusable.

Good come back Colts!

Now hopefully we can move on. But with 300% increase in trolling members I can't foresee that happening.

There's no call for rubbing salt wounds. This was a very hard fought game and it could have just a easily went the other way. Tampa has a great team and has nothing to be ashamed of. It was just a war and it happend to go our way this time. Who knows what will happen when we next meet.

Good luck with the rest of the season!

That wasnt a good comeback

It wasnt even a great comeback, It was only something that hadnt been done in 83 years of organized professional football.

You know we taught Dungy everything he knows right here in Tampa!

At least you guys are classy unlike the scum in Charlotte.

For all of us Bucs fans, I found a recipe to make the night more tolerable:

Crow and Mushroom Stew

3 crows
1 Tbsp lard/shortening
1 pint stock or gravy
2 Tbsp cream
1/2 cup mushrooms
salt and pepper
cayenne pepper

Clean and cut crows into small portions and let them cook a short time in the lard/shortening in a saucepan, being careful not to brown them.
Next, add to the contents of the pan, the stock or gravy, and salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.
Simmer 1 hour, or until tender, add mushrooms, simmer 10 minutes more and then stir in cream.
Arrange the mushrooms around the crows on a hot platter.

Lastly, I can not believe how our 3 coaches quit like our team did. You deserved to win Indyfan because we gave the game to you. Enjoy your run, you have a special QB now, and I think with Dungy not interfering with the offense you have a shot at the AFC against KC.

I'd have to disagree about it not being a great comeback. It seems like the sheer fact that it was the first time it had ever happend would make the case for calling it "great".

is placed in blue, but I dont have either a
a) the technology
b) the ability

My post was a sarcasm based on the directTv commercial.

IMHO That comeback was greater than greatest

In the future I will do sarcasm like this

<blue>We taught Dungy everything he knows here in Tampa<blue>

>blue>MeShawn sure backed up his words, and showed that Harrison who's who of the class of 96<blue>

A tip of my hat to the Bucs (and fans) as well.

Aside from the obligatory trollers (on both sides), most realized this for what it was.. an incredible Football Game.

I sincerely hope the Colts beat the Panthers next sunday for I am a Bucs fan too (after the Colts and Bears, of course... ). I have no doubt that the guys should be fired up for the next 12 weeks of the season.

Good Luck to ya and I would LOVE to see a rematch in the "Big One"!!!

-Ozz

P.S. With McCardell and Joe & even Pittman playing great (when healthy).... I wonder what you guys could get for Keyshawn in a trade.... hmmmm

I had the same thoughts about Edgerrin James.

my hat is off as well!

My hat is off to John Gruden as well.

you played a great game, so did we.

i hope it goes your way the rest of the season.

by the way, you guys have a great stadium.

the only thing that really upset me, as a colts fan, was what K. Johnson said about M. Harrison. But, that type of thing is said all the time. i am just really pleased with the COLTS win.

I BLEED BLUE! i LOVE THE COLTS!

it was a stupid comment by keyshawn. the second he said it i shook my head thinking "why does this guy think he's better then harrison?"...surely enough though, Marvin "class act" Harrison stepped it up by torching a tired, injured tampa D without words.

i like Key because he is on this team and contributes when he has to. he is good in this system but he is not one of the best in the league. i will say he is at the same skill level as Amani Toomer. He shouldn't run his mouth like he's randy moss or TO.

One of the things I like most about the Colts is their humility. They generally don't run around bad mouthing opponents. It makes them more enjoyable to watch and listen to before and after the games when they are respectful of their opponents and humble about themselves.

Good posts. Sorry I posted a similar thread before reading this one. I do believe your offensive game plan was effective against our defense. But Gruden is a great coach, and classy guy. It was a great game!

I agree, hat's off to the Colts-way to stay in the game and believe you could come back. Tony got out of his conservatism-and how strange he would show it in Tampa Bay....hmmmm... Is the SB win from last year making the "D" complacent? By past defensive proweress-they are automatically guarenteed to "win" the game? We looked very tired in the 3rd quarter, not to mention a 2nd year corner covering Harrison. I groaned as soon I heard Kelly wasn't comming back in. They saw the weakness there and exploited it the rest of the evening. Our offense played great!!! I think with credit due to the Colts being a good football team we lost because:

The Colts are that good

Our 12th man support left after the beginning of the 3rd quarter

The Defensive scheme/& a particulr Safety could not stop the Colts

Not being able to convert a 3rd down in overtime to get into field goal range.

I am truly amazed how many people talked about Key's comments about Marvin Harrison. I thought I would scan your board and see what was said. I am pleasantly surprised to see that Bucs fans didn't agree with the comments, so I had to register and just say I respect you Tampa Bay fans. Maybe Part II will take place at the end of January with better officials. Good Luck!
