Has there been a FA that the Bucs haven't been associated with? I really think the approach is leave no stone unturned. I don't think Buc fans are really used to that. We will soon learn that the Bucs now have varying degrees of intrest on just about every player and just because they talk to them, that is no indication that a deal is immenent.

NO.
12MAR04 Palm Beach Post on David Boston : A source close to Boston said the talented but complicated receiver spoke with coach Dave Wannstedt and WRs coach Jerry Sullivan, his former position coach. Baltimore, Oakland and the Jets also have expressed interest, the source said, but Miami is Boston's first choice. "He wants to get back with Jerry so much," the source said. "That would be the best fit and I know they're working hard to get it done." 12MAR04 Miami Herald on David Boston : Discussions between the Dolphins and the Chargers about a possible trade for former Pro Bowl WR Boston intensified Thursday as coach Dave Wannstedt spoke to Boston personally. The team has talked directly to the Chargers and to Boston's agent, and a deal could be finalized by Monday. Maybe, just maybe the Dolphins can make the play offs this year. |
