Looks good. I dont know if the Bucs will carry 4 TE again. I assume it will come down to who performs better with Heller and Lawrie. Moore will also be there if he wins the LS job. Personally I hope Terry wins the LS job in order to get some beef infront of Martin.

well according to pewter report Terry, is a pretty good guard too, thats why I feel he will be a key player if he can win the ls job and be the safety valve in case a starting guard goes down, they were apparently so high on him that they wanted to take him in round 3 and he went two rounds later.

Gruden usually plays a 2 TE set so I would expect him to have two backups especially after what happened to Dilger and Dudley last year

The nice thing with Terry is that if he wins the LS and back up G position, we can have room for Mark Jones as our return specialist.

Good, but I don't think Lenny Williams will make it.. since we only need 5 CB's, as we have Dwight to help in case of emergency.
I would add Jeff Gooch in his roster spot.

I agree. I doubt they'll carry 4 TE's.

Even though Gruden likes 2 TE sets, I doubt they'll carry 4 TE's. More than likely, they'll carry 3, and sign another later on if necessary.

Teams generally carry 10 sometimes 11 offensive linemen and hardly ever carry four TEs. Usually 5 offensive backs too. No way they carry 4 running backs. 5 linebackers? Good luck on surviving a season with that. This post has so many holes I shouldnt bother replying.

No way they carry 4 RBs? Um....ok you have a starter, a 3rd down guy, someone to back them up and then a ST player, then a FB and someone to back him up. I say they carry 4 RBs and then some.

BFD,
Overall I'd say not bad, but IMO Trippman isn't going to be on this team next year. But really nice job.

wow contrasting opinions -

the consensus is that I should lose a TE - Lawrie or Heller?

I think Gooch should make the team too, but that would make 7 LBs?

I am not so such how much confidence they have in Ivy as even a 5th option for CB thats why I have added Williams, he is having a decent mini-camp too.

I could perhaps remove Howell, S, and add another OT, or gooch though, what do you think

with regards to our backfield -
We have a No1 RB in Garner, a deffinate Backup in White, Pittman (if he is not suspended,) then Bennett as a backup if Pittman is not there or as a KR otherwise

FB - Alstott - and then for the goal line blasts Cook to block for him, + he's the backup FB

4 or 5 Rbs are both standard. 6 is unusual. However, one year under Dungy the Bucs went into the season with only 3 RBs.

I remember doing this last year when CB24 started a similiar type thread. The one thing I learned from doing these types of rosters now is that many changes will still occur before the end of camp.

Now, if someone wants to compete with me this year in who they think the Bucs will cut during final cuts I look forward to the competition. I predicted 20/21 final cuts last season.

While I think it is fun to post you think will make the team it still is very early. The roster will change before and during training camp. When it comes time to make the final cuts I will post my predicitions. I grade players on performance & potential not their name. Some seem to think Russell will start but it remains to be seen if he will even make the team. Jeff Gooch used to be a solid player but he could have slowed up a bit since I last saw him. He will have to excel on special teams to make the team as will most of the backups.

I can't wait till this season starts; more so than last season. In that we are coming off a losing season and no one is picking us to do much this season with some of our main past contributors no longer here. No one picked the Patriots do much last season after they failed to make the playoffs in 2002 and cut Lawyer Milloy at the beginning of the season. We have a lot to prove and I think we have a great bunch to do it.

Sorry for going off topic some.

no its kool, u made some good points,

I look forward to competing nearer the time, I agree with you about russel, he needs to have a great camp to win the spot, i feel we may well end up just rotating,

I agree with you about gooch,

is it me or do we have about 30 players set to cover kicks at the moment, so guys are gonna either have to be exceptional at doing that or have another valuable role on the team, and with r depth at LB now, its gonna be tough for gooch
