Question Fan Courtesy and RJS Policy

Is it just me, or is it driving other fans nuts with the total lack of courtesy by fellow ticket holders during games? It is so annoying to me as a fan to have to deal with people walking up and down the aisles or standing on the landings beneath the rows of stairs DURING plays. If you happen to be close to an aisle, you can miss 10-12 plays a game due to people walking, standing, or trying to come into/out of your row DURING plays. There are no attempts to kneel down or sit while a play is going on. Iy can be so bad that I would prefer to stay home than deal with that all day.

I would really like to see RJS put in a hockey-like "spectator courtesy policy" for limiting movement in the aisles during plays. For as much as we pay for tickets, you would think people would demonstrate the courtesy on their own. But they won't if left to their own resolve, especially when booze is involved.

There needs to be a formal guidance over the PA throughout the game. How out of line is that? How hard would it be? Do you think such a guideline should be put in place by the stadium and enforced by the ushers and security guards? Fans can police themselves too and be pretty effective when everyone understands what is expected.

Thoughts?

It's seems it would be common knowledge that if you are in the aisle or in the row during the game you may be blocking the view of a play. As a season tix holder I can attest to the fact that booze isn't as big a factor as you seem to think. There are plenty of ignorant, sober people that attend the games as well.

I have seen plenty of times when ushers hold people back because the ball is in play. There are even signs notifying fans of this before you take your seat.

Sober and non-sober fans are a problem. I would agree. But again, even if you are on an aisle, it is too much to ask people in the aisle or on the landing to kneel down when the ball is in play? Or make some effort to NOT block the view of those seated?

And where are these signs stating this "ball in play" guideline? I have never seen them. Have you seen them in a particular section?

They are posted on the doors as you leave the club lounges and enter the stadium.

But why only in Club Section? I have not seen them anywhere else. If we just had that sign up in all sections it would at least give everyone a common reference and allow ushers to point to something!

I've been to games many times in many different areas and also have never relly had a problem with people getting up during plays. The reason they do it during Hockey games is because the play can go on for 5 minutes plus but in football what is the longest play 30 seconds to a minute.

My thoughts are you shouldn't be sitting on your *** at a game. If you want to do that, sit on your couch at home. Otherwise get your *** up and cheer until you have no voice...when the time is appropriate of course.

Another thing? If the lady sitting behind me in Club Seats at the San Fran game had asked nicely instead of barking at me? I might have sat down but word to those of you at games - if you see a little brunette standing and you want her to sit? Ask. Otherwise I'm not sitting the entire game if you bark at me. (and the ushers love it )

You have to stand to make noise? I don't get it. Is a person yelling while sitting down not as load as a person standing up?
