Madden 2k5 Music

Maddens 2k4 game had great music included in it but it seems like the music this year has went down from 9 out of 10 stars to 5 out of 10 stars or even less than that. I checked the EAsports.com website and checked out all the new bands that are in the new Madden game and it seems to me that the music just does not fit the game. Almost EVERY song except for one hip/hop song does not fit the football theme. Even IGN.com gave a review and said this

" Once again, EA has trotted out a number of licensed artists as part of its EA Trax service, which includes the likes of Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, Midtown, The Hives, and Faith No More. While the songs themselves are all perfectly fine, they don't always feel quite right within the scope of a football game." -IGN

Right there speaks for itself. "they don't always feel quite right within the scope of football" go check for yourself at EASports.com and tell me what you think. I agree that the music does sound great, BUT there is a time and a place for that kind of music and Madden is not the place nor time. The music this year will not get me hyped before a franchise game or online game. What do you think?

Good thing you can listen to your own music on XBox.

I am getting the PS2 version of Madden and I could have gotten the XBox version but I am too cheap to buy Xbox Live. I rather go with the free Ps2 servers since after the Premium Pass gets expired after a year of Dodge flipping the bill, I may buy the annual Premium Pass next year for Madden if I like it instead of dishing out another 40-50 dollars for another year of XBox Live. Both systems have their up sides and down sides for Madden.

I loved "Da Heavy Hittas" but other than that, I agree, none of 'em are football songs. Last year's Madden music was awesome! This year's is just horrible.

After playing Madden for a many hours, the music sucks big time. I have only 3 songs that I have on my playlist. The rest of them are just a joke. At least Madden doesnt have ESPNs music, that is even more gay than Maddens. EA sports need to step it up on the music. I mean, at least have bands that make songs that get you hyped like the one song from 2k4 "when your screaming out HANDS DOWN HANDS DOWN!!, thats when I finally come and RISE UP RISE UP!!, and when your screaming out WHERE TO WHERE TO!!! thats when I pick myself up and put myself through you" I dont know what that guy is talking about but I feel like he is the RB about to run down a defender. Remember that song guys? They really watered down the hip hop also. Hip hop should share half of the play lists since most of the popular rap music is from the South and the Dirty South rap really amps you up and is always played in all NFL locker rooms as well as other rap genres. Madden probably didnt have enough funds to buy the liscenses of those popular groups thats why we have the music of Madden 2k5 in the games now.

I liked the old madden music from like 2001. Remember they use to have bands come on just to do songs for madden. Like in 2001 the intro song was really good. What ever happened to the intros anyways they always are just someone saying Madden NFL and then what ever year it is.

I like the song when it goes "NFL feel the power, the only thing you hitting is the ground in the shower". I love that rap song and the other one when the chorus goes "leave em in the dirt, leave em in the dirt".

I know how you feel about rap but truth to the matter is you wont hear much rock music in most NFL locker rooms. The reason being is because the brothas will probably ask you to change it after hearing a couple of rock songs and then both parties will probably settle for reggae.

I threw in the reggae because Ricky Williams didnt mind settling for reggae 'mon'! I dont think he didnt mind settling for what goes well with reggae. Like how coffee is good with a donut. Speaking of donuts, he probably ate a whole bunch of them after smoking that special cigarettes while listening to reggae.
