Thomas Jones lashes out at his team mates and coach. Mentions Tampa game also.

BEARS’ RB LASHES OUT

October 19, 2004

Following Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins, running back Thomas Jones unleashed his frustration in the direction of just about everyone. He began with the offensive line. “How some of those [expletive] linemen made it to the league has me all confused. Then again, being confused is a common thing around here…just ask our coaching staff.”

Jones didn’t stop there. When asked about the post-game incident that involved wide receiver David Terrell being restrained while screaming at quarterback Jonathan Quinn, Jones replied, “I don’t know what he’s [Terrell] yelling at. That guy couldn’t catch a cold, much less a football. But I guess it is kind of tough when you have a [expletive] QB whose jersey number matches his QB rating. A lot of times, in the huddle, I have to stop myself from laughing when a pass play is called.”

Jones also had thoughts on the news that rookie quarterback Craig Krenzel could see action in next week’s game at Tampa Bay. “All I hear about is how smart that dude is. Majored in Marine Genetics or Molecular Biology or some [expletive.] That’s cute. But after a few shots from Derrick [Brooks] and Booger [McFarland,] he’ll wish he was back in a lab somewhere looking at [expletive] in a test tube.”

The disgruntled running back had one more thing to say before bolting from the Bears’ practice facility, “What’s interesting about my jersey number, twenty, is that that’s how many games I’ll lose here in just a season and a half.”

Ouch.................
Had no idea Jones was like that. Even with our subpar season and him not getting a ton a playing time he never said one word of complaint about us last year.
Garner or Jones? Dont have to think too long on that one. Im sorry he left and now I guess he feels the same. That's what happens when you pull a "Dexter Jackson"............

He's a talented writer for sure. I wish he'd quit calling my house and asking if I have Prince Albert in a Can, though.

OK heres the deal. I didnt write this story and I would never claim to have the talents of the Bayou Bullet. I am not sure if this is authentic or a joke and copy and pasted it from a sports web site. I am waiting on the link and in the meantime will continue to search for it with word search. It could be a joke, I dont know.
