The bandwagon seems to be getting lighter...

I have seen a number of people stating "The Bucs are not winning I'm giving up my tickets" bla bla bla

This is the ultimate showing of a bandwagon or fair-weather fan. I'm sure most of these fans only started paying attention in 1998 when the team started showing signs of a contender. To be honest you people make me sick, "We are not winning, I'm quitting". These are the same people that can not figure out why they were let go at work or their wives left them. Things do not just come to you because you will them to. You have to be there thought the bad and good times to be considered a "true" fan.

Allot of these so called fans already have an exit plan "I will not support them if Gruden does not go" or "I will not waste my time if Simms does not start". Well guess what boys and girls you don't get to make those choices and you never will. So if you plan on leaving do not linger, do not come here posting propaganda "I heard from a friend none of the players like Gruden".

If you really need to talk shop with other fans might I suggest the following.

http://forum.colts.com/
For those that are fans of Dungy and not the Bucs.

http://boards.atlantafalcons.com/
For those that only support when your team is winning.

This team will turn around under the leadership of Gruden and Allen and I hope you don't believe you will be accepted with open arms when it does.

I have been saying this for years, Tampa is a very fairweather town when it comes to sports.

When Tim Brown said that this is not a football town, I totally agree with him. Alot of the fans that attend games have very little knowledge when it comes to the actual game, and are more individual players fans than a fan of the organization.

I have been a season ticket holder for 23 yrs and I have seen many fans come and go, so if people don't want to be Bucs fans anymore, I say BEAT IT !!!

I am a proud fan of the Buccaneers and will be for life, I will never leave a game early and I will never boo my team at my home stadium.

GO BUCS !!!

You make a lot of assumptions based only on your own beliefs. I don't know about where you're from, but around here we call that ignorance.

I've been a fan since 91/92 - happened almost by accident because I was following Steve Christie at the time.

After this season, I am finding myself in serious contemplation of whether I want to support a team which is falling apart - and it is - under the direction of an egomaniac. I hate watching our coach run up and down the sidelines with the poise of an 8-yr old (might be giving him extra credit there...). Our players don't respect him and neither do our opponents.. that says something. What coach is friends with Gruden? The guy is a total loser.

Anyway, I don't count 13 years as a fan as being a bandwagoner, but I sure as hell may not be around for next season.

How ironic, you call other people ignorant however you are the one making ignorant comments about one of the best coaches in the NFL.

Gruden is a total loser, are you kidding me, two years ago you were loving him.

Please don't be a Bucs fan anymore, you embarass me.

Go Bucs !!!

Why are these guys "bandwagoners"? Just because someone is disgusted with the direction the franchise is heading and voices their opinions about it on this message board does not make them a "bandwagon" fan. Get a clue!

So I guess the only reason you 're watching football is you have no beach ...and no fun. Too bad.

Good! I hear Atlanta's looking for more to fill their bandwagon. Seems like you'll fit very well.

Go Bucs !!!
Do yourself a favor and stop making assumptions. I have disliked Gruden since Day 1. The guy is sub-human in my book. Any head coach who can't hold the respect of his players doesn't deserve the position. Period. His little antics took the Bucs to a Super Bowl in a year when most coaches in the league could have done so. We can all agree we had a team that had the skill AND the heart to win it big. There is no way you can tell me you've seen that on this team since then.

This is quite apparent by alot of the post on this board as well.

Some of you guys keep trashing Atlanta and calling it a "bandwagon" town but I think it's time you look in the mirrow.

As a matter of fact, go back and look at the tape of Sunday's game. With over 9:00 in the 4th quarter, Ray Jay was half empty.

why do I think most of you have no clue what a true fan is. Ok a true fan is not someone who blindly stands behind a coach that manages 12 wins in 2 seasons. If that is what I wanted, we can bring back Perkins. He had the offense looking pretty good too bad they had no defense. A true fan has hope for the future and that the front office will do what it takes to make this team turn around for the better. We have hope that they can get some solid draft picks and can fill holes that need to be filled. True fans can question the coach and heart of the players.

What you base a true fan on who has season tickets?
base it on who has been a fan the longest?
base it on who enjoys losing?

Unless the fan is putting on a Vick jersey and claiming to be Falcon season ticket holders that used to be a Bucs fan--chances are the people still here arent bandwagon fans. Those left when bucs were 0-4. Geez people around here either you're a homer or a bandwagoner. People who know football, arent homers. They see what needs to be changed to make the team better.

Buc fan homers: Gruden is awesome!! Griese is best qb in the league! Pittman is great!

Then those who know what reality is and know that things arent going to get any better if the team continue to play like they have the last 2 seasons and that I blame 100% on Gruden.

And if Atlanta put a similar product on the field the Georgia Dome would be 3/4 empty at the start of the game. What's your point?

A 5 win record
40 degree temprature

Atlanta can't fill the dome with 11 wins.

Didn't somebody spit on Price Sunday? I would think you'd be on the Saints board making a fool of yourself over there, Or perhaps only WE deserve that honor.

The point is some of you guys have gone on and on about how Atlanta is a "bandwagon" town and such but yet Ray Jay is half empty with ALOT of football yet to be played. In fact, the Bucs were only 10 points down at that point.

If you guys want to keep calling Atlanta a bandwagon city, you might want to put that label on Tampa as well.

Sorry, But we sell out playoff games and don't have 5000 empty seats when we're winning.

Nice try though.

The fact that it dwindled down to 1/2 full IS the point. See at least people actually made an attempt to attend the game whereas if the Falcons had a similar record how many would have made an attempt to see the game in the first place? While we are on the subject; how many of those fans are actually Falcon fans and not Vickites?
