Shaun Alexander a Buccaneer? PLZ READ!!

It's it true Shaun is to become a buc? according to espn.com/insider (as i quote
)Mar. 23 - Pro Bowl running back Shaun Alexander, named the Seahawks' franchise player last month, has shown no indication that he is ready to sign the $6.32 million tender, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Alexander is not among the players participating in the Seahawks' offseason conditioning program, which started Monday. and i went to seahawks.com and still no word on signing him. so is shaun holding out until his a free agent or what?
hey bucs with shaun than tampa can get mike williams in draft!!!
not bad looking team than!

There is no way cap wise we could afford him. How many players would you like Gruden and Allen to cut to get Alexander? Simply not going to happen.

How many years did Walter Jones boycott training camp? Shaun Alexander is just picking up the new Seahawk Franchise Tag priviledge of staying home with his kids for some extra time. And where does it indicate that Shaun Alexander is looking to go anywhere but Seattle?

Alexander hasn't signed the tender because he wants a long term contract.

Walter Jones did the same thing 3 years in a row.

Cutting Pittman would save us 1.8 million. Cutting garner would actually cost the Bucs more than keeping him because of accelerated bonuses. Even after June 1.

Stuessie on the other hand would give us an immediate 2.5 million relief after June 1.

Crazier things have happened I guess.

All that means is the Hawks can't negotiate a new deal with Shaun until after July 15th.

It also gives the Seahawks incentive to act. By not signing the tender, he doesn't have to attend camp, which hurts the team.

They can negotiate a contract, but they can't sign him, otherwise they would lose the franchise tag for the duratin of his contract.

that cat cut Garner or Steussie until After June 1.... both would incur a larger hit to cut them now then to keep them

Simeon Rice for Edge straight up after June 1

Once again signing bonuses and the salary cap make this kind of stuff impossible.

Pewter Pride a Buccaneer? PLZ READ!!

It could happen people! I have shown no indication that I'm ready to sign a 6.32 million dollar contract. Maybe I'll end up in Tampa. Cut half of your players and maybe you'll have enough to sign me. I'd be a great addition to your team. Send Jon my regards.

Best,

PP
